Subsp. campylosema is intermediate between subsp. atropurpıtreus and subsp. nigripilis. A. atropıırpureus Boiss. var. rewanduzicus Náb., described without fruit from C8 Mardin: Kurruk Da. nr. Erbil [d. Savur] c. 1600 m, Nábelek 3110, may belong to this species, but in this condition we cannot be certain. A. campylosema var. cappadocicus Boiss. based on a specimen from B5 Kayseri, Erciyas Da., nr. Jachjaila, 1300 m, Kotschy 183, is said to differ from A. campylosema var. campylosema in having a purely white-hairy calyx. The species is related to A. refractus C. A. Meyer, from N. Iran and Soviet Armenia. |
