A. dasycarpus Chamberlain in Notes R.B.G. Edinb. 29: 289 (1969). Dwarf shortly caulescent perennial up to c. 5 cm, with a much branched woody caudex. Leaves 1-2 cm; leaflets 2-4 mm, obovate, simply sericeous, 6-10-paired; stipules c. 2 mm, triangular, fused below. Peduncles 2-3 cm. Inflorescence a globose 4-8-flowered spike. Bracts c. 4 mm, lanceolate. Calyx 8-10 mm, tubular, densely black spreading-hairy, with a few white spreading hairs; teeth c. 2 mm, linear. Flowers lilac; standard 18-22 mm, ligulate with a notched apex. Legume c. 10 mm, ovoid, laterally compressed, densely long white spreading-hairy; beak c. 2 mm. Fl. 7. Screes, 3400-3650 m.
