A. ermineus Matthews in Notes R.B.G. Edinb. 29: 301 (1969). Dwarf caespitose suffrutescent perennial, with short stems. Leaves 2-3 cm: rachis spiny; leaflets 2-3 mm, elliptic, both surfaces simple-adpressed-pilose, 8-1l-paired; stipules c. 5 mm, triangular-lanceolate, joined to c. halfway, glabrous, white-ciliate. Peduncles equal to or exceeding leaves, black- and white-pilose. Flowers in dense 3-5-flowered spikes. Bracts 5-7 mm, ovate, black- and white-hairy. Bracteoles 2-3 mm, lanceolate. Calyx 13-16 mm, tubular at first, becoming inflated, sparsely black- and white-simple-pilose; teeth 2-3 mm, densely black-hairy. Corolla creamy white, sometimes with lilac keel; standard 20-25 mm, lamina recurved, ovate, without basal auricles. Legumes unknown. Fl. 7. Rocky ground, 2900-3600 m. Type: [Turkey] B9 Van: d.
