Dwarf shrub. Leaves 2-3 cm; rachis spiny; leaflets 6-9 mm, narrowly elliptic, spine-tipped or mucronate, sparsely spreading-simple-pilose, 4-5-paired; stipules c. 10 mm, lanceolate, glabrous but ciliate, joined for f of their length. Inflorescence globose with 15-20 sessile flowers. Bracts c. 2 mm, linear-lanceolate, ciliate. Bracteoles absent. Calyx 12-14 mm, tubular, tube sparsely white spreading-simple-pilose to glabrescent; teeth 5-7 mm, setaceous, pilose. Corolla pink or lilac; standard 20-25 mm. Legume unknown. Fl. 6-9. Rocky slopes, 2600-3400 m. Type: [Turkey C9 Van] Taurus Armenus, mons Harefta inter Wan et Kocanes. c. 2600 m, 31 viii 1910, Nábélek 3100 (BRNU!). S.E. Anatolia.
