A. onobrychioides Bieb., Tabl. Prov. Casp. 117 (1798). Syn: A. cephalotes Pall., Astrag. 29 (1800) non Banks & Sol. (1794); A. georgicus Boiss., Diagn. ser. 1(2): 42 (1843).
Erect, caulescent perennial, 20-30-cm, with a branched woody caudex; stems 3-8 cm. Leaves 7-10 cm: leaflets 5-15 mm, elliptic to lanceolate, adpressed bifurcate-hairy, 7-15-paired: stipules 5-8 mm, triangular-acuminate, joined at the base. Peduncles 10-20 cm. Flowers many, in a dense, ovoid spike. Bracts 7-10 mm. narrowly lanceolate or subulate. Calyx c. 12 mm, tubular, black- and white-spreading-hairy; teeth c. 6 mm, subulate. Corolla pale purple; standard c. 30 mm. glabrous. Legume 10x3 mm, ovoid to oblong, densely brownish-hairy; beak c. 6 mm. curved. Fl. 5-6. Alt. 1500-2300 m.

Its presence in Turkey requires confirmation. Closely allied to A. onobrychis, from which it differs in its spreading-hairy calyx, etc.
