Legume 12-13 mm, oblong, sparsely white-pilose, shortly beaked. Fl. 6-7. Mountainous disiricts, 1200-2300 m.
Type: [Turkey A7 Giresun] Cappadocia prope Tripoli (Tirebolu), Tournefort.
N.E. & C. (northern) Anatolia. A5 Amasya: Abaci Da., 1200 m, Bornm. 1890: 1865 (syntype of A. saxatilis)! A7 Gümüşane: between Beschklisse [Beşkilise] and Ardas, Sint. 1890:2104 (syntype of A. saxatilis)! A9 Çoruh: nr. Ardanuç; Kars: nr. Çildir (Grossheim 5: map 309).
Georgia, Caucasus, N. Iran. The type of A. saxatilis agrees well with Russian material labelled A. viciifolius. though no ripe fruits of the former have been seen. A specimen from A9 Kars, Kisir Da., 3000 m, D. 30539!, which differs in its narrow, rather pointed leaflets, probably belongs to this species. A specimen from A9 Erzurum (d. Oltu, between Ecznoss and Pancaret, 11 vii 1915, Sosnow-sky, photo!), which has been erroneously referred by Grossheim to A. shagalensis Grossh. (a species from Soviet Armenia), is probably referable to A. viciifolius or to A. flaccidus.
