Perennial with thick woody rhizome and erect or ascending stems, 20-60 cm. Leaves with 6-10 pairs of oblong-elliptic to linear-lanceolate leaflets, glabrous above, ± pilose below; stipules connate, membranous, c. 5 mm. Peduncles 2-3(-4) x length of leaves. Inflorescence ± oblong, many-flowered, elongating in fruit. Calyx 6.5-9 mm, spreading pilose, with teeth c. 2-3 x longer than tube. Corolla pink with darker striations; standard 9.5-11 mm; wings 3.5-5 mm; keel 10-12 mm. Fruit semi-orbicular, 6 mm long, pilose, with 1-2 mm teéth on crest and shorter or obsolete teeth on disc. Fl. 6-7. Pastures, rocky slopes, 1900-3050 m.
