Leaflets 2, broadly cuneate-obovate to suborbicular, 4-15 x 4-13 mm, thick, glaucous, usually glabrous. Flowers solitary, long-peduncled, carmine, 16-20 mm. Calyx 7-9 mm. scarcely gibbous; teeth subequal, narrowly triangular, less than half as long as tube. Legume linear-oblong, 25-35 mm, tapering below, 3-5-seeded. Seeds globose, smooth. Fl. 6-8.
