B. orphanidis Boiss., Diagn. ser. 2(1): 133 (1853). Stem 30-70 cm, stout. Leaf laciniae shortly oblong-lanceolate. Flowers condensed into a spike-like panicle. Calyx inflated in fruit, not hardened, c. 15 mm. Petals pink, much shorter than the calyx. Fl. 5-6 (Greece). Cedrus and Abies cilicica forest, 1700-1900 m.
