Widely branched annual, 20-60 cm, bearing long eglandular and short glandular hairs. Upper leaves opposite, palmatifid to c. 4/5; segments rhombic-oblong, obtusely and shortly pinnatifid or lobed. Pedicels shortly glandular-pubescent, ± deflexed in fruit. Sepals 3-6.5 mm, nerves stiffly hairy; awn 0.5-0.75 mm. Petals c. 5-8 mm, emarginate, bright pink or white, Mericarps pubescent, trans- versely ridged above, beakless when ripe. Seeds smooth. Fl. 5-6. Rock ledges, grassy slopes, 1400-1900 m.
