H.armenum Jaub. & Spach, 111. Or. 1: 65, t. 33 (1842). Figure 12, p. 361. Stems 5-30 cm, erect or ascending from a ± woody, branching base, not rooting, glabrous. Leaves 5-20 mm, ovate or elliptic to lanceolate or narrowly oblong, plane, glabrous, ± glaucous (especially below), with conspicuous intramarginal glands. Inflorescence cylindric to subcorymbose, 1-16-flowered. Bracts entire or with 1-2 marginal glands. Sepals oblong, rounded, densely black-glandular-denticulate. Petals 6-12 mm. Capsule 7-10 mm, narrowly ovoid. Fl. 6-8. Rocky or earthy slopes, 2190-3200 m. Syntypes: [Turkey B8 Erzurum] in Armenia prope Erzeroum, Montbret 2483 (E! K!); ibid., Aucher 898 (BM! G! K!).
