Very like M. astracanicum, but less tall; stems 10-25(-45) cm; most hairs on stems, ieaves and in inflorescence with long central branch and appearing superficially simple; corolla 7-9 mm. Fl. 7-8. Slopes, 2300-3200 m. Lectotype (Seybold, op. cit. 24, 1978): [Turkey C9 Siirt] Cizre, Halakar Dagh, ad sept, de Geziret-ibn-Omar (Cizre), 2300 m, Nâbĕlek 1601 (holo. SAV, iso. BRA; fragment E!). S.E. Anatolia. B9 Van: Artos Da., 3200 m, Tong 309! C10 Hakkari: Sat Da., 2700 m, Fedden & McColl 30! N.W. Iran, N. Iraq. Perhaps only another subspecies of M. astracanicum, but not well known, and in need of further study. |
