Leaves loosely stellate-tomentose, becoming greenish above, densely adpressed canescent or yellowish stellate-tomentose beneath, basal leaves oblong to oblong-lanceolate, acute or subobtuse, shortly cuneate, truncate or shallowly cordate at base, 2-10 x 0.8-4 cm, crenulate-serrate, petioles to 8 cm; cauline leaves smaller, oblong-lanceolate to lanceolate.Floral leaves lanceolate, shortly petiolate or sessile, as long as or lower to 2 x as long as verticillasters. Verticillasters 24, lower ones distant, 5-8-flowered. Bracteoles linear-subulate, 8-12 mm, tomentose. Calyx 13-16 mm, densely white stellate-tomentose, teeth lanceolate-acuminate, unequal, 4-6 mm.
