T. migricus Klokov & Des.-Shost. in Trudy Bot. Inst. Akad. Nauk SSSR Azerb. Fil. 2:302 (1936). Syn: T. kotschyanus Boiss. & Hohen. var. migricus (Klokov & Des.-Shost.) Ronniger ex Rech. fil. in Phyton (Horn) 5:292 (1954).
Suberect, much branching, basal parts woody. Flowering stems 5-10(-15) cm, ± slender, often branched apically, hairy all round. Leaves6.5-10(-13) x 3-4.5(-6) mm incl. l-2(-2.5) mm petiole, commonly shorter than stem inter-nodes, all ± equal, triangular-ovate to ovate-lanceolate with almost parallel sides, truncate to rounded-cuneate at base, ± obtuse to subacute at apex, often ± carnose, sparsely ciliate at base or not, oil dots numerous, reddish; veins usually not or only weakly prominent, lateral veins 2(-3) pairs, seemingly evanescent or tending to join to a marginal thickening. Inflorescence loosely capitate, lowest verticillasters often ± remote, usually pedunculate. Bracts leaf-like, green. Bracteoles 1-1.5 mm, lanceolate. Calyx 3-4 mm, campanulate, upper lip clearly wider than tube, upper teeth 0.4-0.8 mm, broadly triangular, scabrous, not ciliate. Corolla pale pink, 5-6 mm. Fl. 6-7. Dry mountain slopes, 800-2500 m.

S. Caucasia, N.W. Iran. Ir.-Tur. element. Seemingly closely related to T. collinus Bieb., Fl. Taur.-Cauc. 3:401 (1819), from the Caucasus, but different in shape and texture of leaves and shape of inflorescence. Specimens appearing ± identical with T. collinus include: B6 Maraş: Berit Da., 2135 m, 8 viii 1865, Hausskn.! B/C6 Maraş: d. Göksun, Hobek Da., 1800 m, D. 20176! B7 Erzincan: Eğin (Kemaliye), Szanduk (Sandik), Sint. 1890:2637! B9 Bitlis: Karz Da. above Kotum, 1830 m, D. 22260! C6 Malatya, Reşadiye pass, 1510 m, Kienzle & Simon 75161! C7 Adiyaman: Nemrut Da., c. 20 km N.E. of Kahta, Ehrend. et al. 787-61-3! Such plants have been included in T. kotschyanus var. hohenackeri Ronniger by Rech. fil. in Phyton (Horn) 5:292 (1954), and part of the Anatolian material keying out as T. migricus possibly is within the range of variation of T. kotschyanus. Further studies are needed.
