Ic: Wendelbo, Tulips & Irises of Iran 47, f. 48(1977). Map 43. Leaves c. 5, ± as long as scape, to 3(-4) cm broad, green, margin ciliolate to scabrid or smooth. Raceme 12-25-flowered, lax. Pedicels 10-20 mm. Flower buds purplish. Perianth with purplish tube and white,green-veined lobes,nodding to patent, (9-)10-12 mm, campanulate, lobes 1/2-2/3 x tube. Fruiting raceme conical; lowermost pedicels (4-)5-8 cm, patent. Valves of capsule c. 15 mm, broadly ovate, retuse at apex. Fl. 5. Hillsides, steppe, 1 750-2300 m. Described from S. Transcaucasia. E.
