Bulb to 1.5 cm diam. Stem 9-12 cm. smooth. Leaves 4-5. alternate: lower leaves subopposite. narrowly lanceolate, acute. 25-50 x 4-15 mm. glabrous; upper leaves linear or linear lanceolate. Flowers solitary. Perianth narrow campanulate. dark purplish brown, usually with glaucous bloom; outer segments ovate to narrowly ovate, acute. 0.7-1.5 x 0.25-0.45 cm: inner lanceolate. 0.22-0.4 cm broad, sometimes obtuse. Filaments 9-16 mm. slender, papillose, anthers 2.5-4 mm. usually purplish Style 9-17 mm. smooth or sparsely papillose, slender, entire. F/. 4-5. Rocky hillsides. 1300 m.
Type: Turkey. B7 Elazığ: Baskil. Yukarı Kulusagi village. Selil mountain. Yukarı mahalle. 1300 m. stony places. 22 iv 1997. Behçet 5540 (hold. VANF).
Endemic. ir. Tur. element. Known only from type locality. Closely related to F. caucasica J.F.Adam [8: 298]. from Georgia. NW. Iran and E. Anatolia. it differs in having a shorter stem, linear leaves, smaller perianth and exserted stamens.
