Bulb with a dark brown tunic, new bulb forming beside old, without thickened roots. Basal leaves 2, filiform, 0.5 mm broad, equalling or exceeding inflorescence. Inflorescence cymose, 8-15 cm, branched only at apex, sparsely hairy. Cauline leaves 2-3, lowest lanceolate, to 6 x 0.5 cm, acuminate, upper narrower, alternate, widely spaced. Flowers 2-5, often replaced by a group of sometimes leafy bulbils. Pedicels 1.5-3.5 cm, sparsely hairy. Perianth segments pale yellow with a broad green stripe outside, 7-9 x 1.5 mm, elongating to 11 mm after flowering, obtuse. Capsule not known. Fl. 4. On damp cliffs in gorges and on grassy slopes, c. 1800 m.
