Bulb globose, c. 1.5 cm diam., outer tunic membranous. Leaves carinate, 50 x l-2(-2.5) cm, glabrous. Scape terete, 90-135 cm, sheathed in lower 1/3, glabrous. Spathe 3.5 cm. Flowers numerous, in dense umbel, ± campanulate, white, veined and sometimes spotted pinkish-purple. Pedicels unequal, 1.5-4 cm. Outer perianth segments obovate, 13-14(-16) x 5-6 mm, apiculate, 5-veined; inner elliptic, 11-13.5 x 7-7.5 mm, 3-veined, claw 2.5-4.5 mm. Filaments 2.5 mm; anthers 2-3 mm. Style to 2 mm. Capsule 6 mm; seeds 3.5 mm. Fl 5-7. Dry rocky slopes, limestone pockets, alpine meadows by streams, 1250-2300 m.
