Usually unbranched, 20-60 cm, sometimes taller. Spike many-flowered. Bracts and calyx glandular-pilose. Calyx teeth lanceolate, acuminate, equalling or longer than tube. Corolla lavender, lilac or violet, nearly erect, 26-40 mm. Anthers white-lanate-villous, rarely bearing a tuft of hairs. Fl. 6-8. Usually on Artemisia, 500-2500 m. Type : [Germany] Arheilgen, Roemer.
