O. lutea Baumg., Enum. Stirp. Transs. 2:215 (1816) excl. syn. Ic: Pflanzenreich 96(IV. 261): t. 16 f. J-N (1930). Stem to 60 cm, abundantly glandular-pilose. Bracts usually equalling flowers. Calyx halves many-veined, abundantly glandular-pilose, bidentate; teeth lanceolate-acuminate, often nearly subulate, below 3-, above 1-veined, c. half length of corolla tube. Corolla 15-32 mm, usually campanulate, inflated above insertion of stamens, enlarged towards throat, light brown or reddish-brown, yellowish or pale in lower part, brown above, abundantly glandular-pilose; dorsal line nearly straight from a curved base, upper lip curved downwards; limb sparingly glandular-pilose. Stamens inserted 3-6 mm above base, filaments abundantly pilose near base, sparingly glandular-pilose or subglabrous above; anthers gradually mucronate-acuminate. Style long glandular-pilose, stigma waxy- or egg-yolk yellow. Fl. 6-7. Usually on Leguminosae, 500-2300 m. Type: In Transsilvania, Baumgarten (CL). N. & Inner Anatolia.
