This record, however, seems to be a mistake, since the distribution of this subspecies is mainly Saharo-Arabian, extending from Egypt, through south Jordan to Iran. Occasional specimens from S. Turkey approach subsp. dodecandra in their short bristly capsules, but on the basis of their general characteristics they belong to subsp. hybrida. |
