R. gracilescens Rech. in Phyton 8: 143 (1959). Figure 7, p. 283. Similar to R. alpinus, but the basal leaves more than 2 x longer than broad, gradually tapering to acute apices, the lateral veins in the middle part of the leaf ± forming a right angle with the main vein, inner perianth segments cordate-orbicular, 3-4 mm in diameter, the main vein slightly swollen. Fl. 4-6. Meadows, 1900-2500 m. Type: Turkey [B9 Ağri] secus rivulos injugo inter Ağri (Karaköse) et Horasan, ca. 2500 m, Rechinger 15022 (holo. W). A4 Kastamonu: N side of Ilgaz Da., 1900 m, D. 38365! A9 Kars: Sarikamiş, 2100 m, D. 32638! Endemic. The specimen from Ilgaz Da. agrees well with R. gracilescens but has more noticeable swellings on the main veins of the inner perianth segments (still hardly tuberculate) than the Kars specimen, which is a paratype. |
