Collar strongly fibrous; basal leaves palmately 3-5 partite into incised cuneate segments. Involucral leaves sessile, deeply tripartite into incised or subentire segments. Flowers umbellate, 3-7. Tepals 5, obovate-eiliptic, white or flushed pink. Achenes glabrous, flattened. A polymorphic species; 2 subspecies may be distinguished in Turkey:
 1. Involucral leaves deeply tripartite into deeply incised segments; umbel 3-7- flowered . subsp. narcissiflora
 1. Involucral leaves deeply tripartite into linear or oblong-linear, usually entire segments; umbel 3-4-flowered  subsp. willdenowii
