A. olympica Boiss. in Ann. Sci. Nat. 16: 360 (1841). Ic: Fl. Armenia 1: t. 61 (1954). Stems 30-60 cm, tomentose, some of the hairs glandular. Basal leaves biternate, the leaflets crenately lobed, glabrous above, sparsely pilose to tomentose beneath. Flowers somewhat nodding. Sepals blue to purplish, (18-)25-35 mm. Petals white, the spur blue to purplish, longer than the lamina, somewhat hooked. Follicles up to 30 mm, pilose. Fl. 6-7. Damp meadows, Picea forests, 1700-2800 m.
