Stems erect, up to 16 cm. Stem leaves divided, the segments cut nearly to the base, rarely trifid at the apex. Outer perianth segments 11-22 mm. Follicles ± straight, stipitate, 10-14 mm. Fl. 4-5. B7 Erzincan: Hodschadur Da., Egin (Kemaliye), Sint. 1890:2217! C3 Antalya: Akseki, 1500 m, D. 25781! C5 Içel: Durnas, above Findikpinar, 1800 m, Siehe 1912: 311! C6 Maraş: Göksun to Maraş, 1300 m, D. 27535!* S. Europe, N. Iraq, Afghanistan. We agree with Blakelock (Kew Bull. 1948: 378, 1949) in regarding E. hyemalis and E. cilicicus as conspecific. Characters used to distinguish them (depth of division of the leaf segments, number of segments) vary continuously, and are not well correlated with geography. |
