R. crateris Davis in Notes R.B.G. Edinb. 23: 131, t. 6 (1960). Figures 3, 5, pp. 155, 173. Perennial, 15-40 cm, adpressed-pilose or glabrescent, greyish. Rhizome horizontal; collar strongly fibrous. Stems 1-6-flowered. Radical leaves subpinnatisect, ovate, with a stalked terminal segment and two pairs of lateral segments, all deeply dissected into oblong-cuneate laciniae often shortly incised near apex; upper leaves dissected into several long linear segments. Sepals reflexed. Petals 9-11 mm. Achenes semicircular, compressed, 3-4 mm, with a prominent nerve parallel to the margins, glabrous; beak falcate-circinate, 1-1.5 mm. Fl. 6-8. Volcanic slopes, 2300-3300 m. Type: Turkey B9 Bitlis: Nemrut Da., above Sogurt, 2350 m, Davis & O. Polunin (D. 23565, holo. K! iso. E!). S. Armenia. B9 Bitlis: Süphan Da., 3300 m, D. 24749 (leaves glabrescent, glaucous)! Endemic, Ir.-Tur. element. Closely allied to R. fenzlii. |
