R. flammula L., Sp. PL 548 (1753). I?: Ross-Craig, Draw. Brit. PL 1: t. 25 (1948). Similar to R. lingua but much smaller in all its parts, green. Radical leaves present at flowering time, rounded or cuneate at base. Stem leaves linear-lanceolate, narrower. Petals 5-8 mm. Achenes c. 1.5 mm. Described from European water-meadows (Hb. Linn. 715/1!). N. Armenia, Lycaonia. A9 Kars: Ardahan, nr. Khanak, 17 vii 1908, Roop. B4 Konya: Murad su, Andrasovszky 263. Europe, Caucasia, N.W. Africa. Dubiously recorded from Istanbul. Not mapped by Grossheim from Kars or Çoruh, though occurring in Soviet Armenia. |
