Stems usually hirsute below (hairs rarely adpressed), branched. Radical leaves pedately and deeply tripartite or trisect, adpressed pilose or glabrous, segments 2-3-partite, incised into linear-lanceolate, often dentate laciniae (segments rarely broadly cuneate with crenate lobes). Peduncle sulcate. Sepals spreading. Petals 10-15 mm. Torus hairy. Achenes sub-orbicular, strongly compressed, keeled, 3 mm; beak triangular, uncinate, 0.5-0.75 mm. Fl. 6-7. Wet places, 600-2700 m. Hand.-Mazz. 849 was erroneously referred by its collector to R. nemorosus DC. |
