Flowering stems branched, leafy. Radical and lower stem leaves trisect, segments 2-3-lobed or partite, incised-dentate, glabrous or pilose, at least the middle segment long-stalked. Peduncles sulcate. Sepals spreading. Petals 7-14 mm. Torus hairy. Achenes semiorbicular, strongly compressed, 3 mm, margin keeled, beak lanceolate, uncinate, 1 mm. Fl. 5-7. Wet places, s. 1.-2450 m.
