P. anatolica Peşmen in Notes R.B.G. Edinb. 31:328 (1972). Map 12, p. 57. Erect perennial with a thick rootstock; flowering stems (8-)15-65 cm. Leaves digitate; leaflets 5(-7), sessile or the terminal one sometimes petiolulate, broadly obovate or oblong, 10-50(-70) x 10-20(-30) mm, serrate to incised-serrate, softly spreading-pubescent on both sides. Epicalyx segments shorter than sepals, elliptic-oblong, obtuse. Sepals ovate, 5-8 mm, acute. Petals yellow, obcordate, 9-11 mm. Achenes ± rugulose; style subterminal, filiform, papillose, 2 x as long as achene. Fl. 6-3. By water, damp alpine pastures, 1900-2000 m. Type: Turkey B9 Van; dist. Closely related to P. kurdica Boiss. &. Hohen. ex Boiss. from W. Iran and N. Iraq, but differing in its obcordate, much larger petals which are narrowly obovate-spathulate in P. kurdica. Also resembling P. umbrosa in facies, but distinguished by its indumentum. |
