Procumbent, stoloniferous perennial, 15-35 cm. Stock with a terminal rosette of leaves which are persistent. Leaves digitate; leaflets 5, obovate-cuneate to oblong, 5-22 mm, dentate to incised-serrate, adpressed-pubescent. Flowers axillary, solitary or sometimes upper ones in cymes, 5- or 4-merous. Epicalyx segments linear-oblong, as long as ovate-lanceolate, 3-4 mm sepals. Petals obcordate, 4-5.5 mm. Achenes rugose; style subterminal, conical at base, clavate at apex. Fl. 5-9. Wet places, c. 100 m. Described from England. Turkey-in-Europe, rare. A2(E) Istanbul: Çirçir Suyu valley nr. Sariyer, 3 ix 1894, Azn.! W. & C. Europe. Euro-Sib. element.
