E. juzepczukii Denissova in Trudy Bot. Inst. Akad. Nauk Arm. SSR 7:64, f. 4(1950). Stem to 6 cm, unbranched or with 1-3 pairs of short, suberect branches. Cauline internodes l-2½(-4)x as long as subtending leaves, lower floral shorter than or occasionally longer than subtending bracts. First flower at 2nd-6th node. Leaves to 6(-9.5) mm, obovate-lanceolate or obdeltoid, light green, flushed or bordered with purple or blackish-violet, subglabrous or setulose, sometimes with very short glandular hairs. Lower bracts usually adpressed to calyx, obdeltoid or semicircular with rounded side towards base, or elliptic, ovate or broadly rhom-boidal, apex coarsely tridentate, some populations with a second pair of lateral teeth distant from bract base. Corolla 3.5-5.5 mm. Capsule 4-6 mm, shorter or occasionally slightly longer than calyx, 2-2½ x as long as broad. Fl. 7-8. Grassy slopes, screes and rock ledges, 2700-3600 m.
